Why should we talk about conflict?
It all begins with an idea.
First, I want to let you know something about me, I have NEVER been a fan of conflict, I really haven’t. Ask my family… it wasn’t until the last 5 years or so as I have done research and coached people in this topic. I have a heart for it because I almost lost a relationship due to not knowing how to have a healthy, tense, conversation with someone I love, that the Lord lit a fire in my heart when it comes to this topic.
I realized just how much of my life I had missed either because I avoided conflict or even just an emotionally charged conversation and then worried about it. Or how much of my life I missed because I kept having conversations that left me tired, frustrated and not feeling heard or understood at all.
This led me to work, research and grow in this area, both in a personal and professional manner.
As you stick around and go on this journey with me, I want you to know that I am FOR YOU. I am sick and tired of people feeling undervalued, not heard and overall discouraged and relationships destroyed because they didn’t know how to deal with conflict well.
And yes, you can do conflict well, I promise.
I am so excited about this because I know God’s hand is in it, and I have seen people in my life have light bulb moments and relationships restored because of the help I have given them.
When conflict is done well, you leave the conversation being more known and either a relationship that is toxic is no more, or the relationship is stronger and healthier because of the tough conversation you had.
Know that in all of this, I am so excited to see the tools and resources I have for you bless you and leave you feeling empowered and ready to enter into any conversation, no matter what may happen or how the conversation may turn. You will leave feeling prepared and confident.
I want to help you cultivate the conversations in your life so you know you can enter into them well and with confidence, leaving everything on the table in a way you can look back and be proud of how you handled it.
I chose the name I did because I want you to know that to cultivate something is going to take time. This will not be a one and done thing, but over time you will recognize and realize that you are no longer scared of conversions that before would have made you run for the hills. You will realize that you know how to initiate and have conversations where before you would have had yelling matches.
Let’s jump in together and starting cultivating the conversations in your life!
